Some of the most ardent supporters of Milan and Inter were arrested this Monday, as they are suspected of participating in organized crime.

The Italian financial police announced this Monday through an official statement that the main figures among the "ultras" of the two clubs were arrested for "aggravated criminal conspiracy with mafia methods, extortion, assault and other serious crimes".

The financial police emphasized that the crimes are related to the income made from football.

"The suspects are almost all the members of the ultra groups of the Milan teams, while the crimes are related to the income made from football", added the finance police.

19 people were arrested, including the two leaders of the ultras of Inter and Milan, Luca Luçi and Renato Bossetti./ CNA
