Due to high temperatures, the government of North Macedonia has decided to exempt vulnerable groups of citizens from work, including pregnant women and people over 60 years old. This decision continues to be valid until July 27.

"According to the information received from the Administration for Hydrometeorological Affairs, that in this country high temperatures are expected in the days after July 24, the Government has made a decision to change the conclusion of the last session, which referred to the exclusion of certain categories of people from work duties from July 21 to 24, 2022, with the postponement of this deadline until July 27, 2022. The recommendation for release from work obligations in the period until July 27 refers to vulnerable groups of citizens, including pregnant women and persons over 60 years old", announces the Government Press Service.

Other measures to protect citizens from hot weather, approved in the 63rd session of the government, remain valid, the announcement states./CNA.al
