The adolescent brain continues to mature as it has not finished maturing.

The adolescent's brain and mind needs clear "boundaries" to continue the growth process.

At this stage of a teenager's life, it is almost impossible to think about the consequences of an action. He needs an authority to encourage him to learn and build his own boundaries. He needs the authority not to frighten and insult him, but to assist him willingly to accept the rule as a stage of growth.

The parent or teacher should know that often the teenager does not realize the irreversibility of an action, such as high speed or suicide, because it is the action that takes him forward and not him controlling the action.

So understanding the consequences of an action is very difficult for the teenager.

The teenager is also "occupied" by very strong impulsive reactions that require a lot of effort to keep under control, creating many difficulties in his behavior. But when the adult he trusts is next to him, the teenager behaves differently.

Parents, teachers, try to be the authority that he wants and needs to learn and build his own boundaries.
