In the investigations of some cases related to the persecution, the persons who committed these actions after becoming aware that they were committing a criminal offense, were withdrawn, but there are also those who, beyond the warning, did not act and the prosecution was forced to ask the court for the measure of arrest with prison.

But how does the presence of these problematic people affect Albanian families and society.

In an interview for CNA TV, journalist and publicist Ben Andoni said that these people mainly act against vulnerable categories.

"Stalking is theoretically a type of systematic abuse. Stalking in our times is more prevalent than bullying. There is a very great tendency of the public to express supremacy over other individuals, which is literal persecution. These people act against people who are unprotected, against those who have a different social status than others, against women and against people who have very limited means of living, etc.

For stalkers, the law should be very well defined and much tougher. Persecution is not only that it takes away or hinders someone's rights, but it is also an aspect that greatly affects someone's social worldview," he said.

According to Andoni, stalkers should be identified and a national registry should also be created.

"Stalkers must be identified, while those who carry out systematic stalking must be part of a national registry, because they can cause very large social traumas in society, which then lead to extraordinary consequences. These people must be identified and deprived of society. The time has come that there should be punishments so that these people don't try to harm the society anymore," he said
