"I pray to our Lord Jesus Christ to give me strength to lead this mission"/ His Beatitude Ioannis delivers his speech as Archbishop

The new Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all of Albania, His Beatitude Joani, has kept his word as the procedure dictated.

During his speech, His Grace John thanked the high priests of the Holy Synod and promised to fulfill his high priestly duty.

" Glorifying God, I thank the high priests of the Holy Synod. I accept this high service and promise to fulfill the high priestly duty. Aware of the weight of this responsibility, I pray to our Lord Jesus Christ to give me strength and wisdom to lead this mission ," said the new Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, His Beatitude Joani.

His Beatitude Joan was elected Archbishop of the Albanian Autocephalous Orthodox Church after Archbishop Anastas passed away on January 25, 2025.

The other candidate names were His Grace Dhimitri of Gjirokastra and His Grace Nikolla of Fier./ CNA
