This Saturday evening, the 13th edition of the "Days of Mio" exhibition opened in Korça. Participants in this were more than 51 Albanian and foreign painters who have painted objects, landscapes of Korça and its surroundings. Korça Cathedral was cast by Kosovar Genc Bekteshi, while he shared his experience in the southeast.

"I am very happy that I was in this organization. The days passed very well, we met many dear people, I hope to come again", said Genc Bekteshi.

There were also artists from North Macedonia. After 11 years of separation, Burhan Ahmeti has returned to this colony and has painted the "Romanian House" on the city's pedestrian walkway to show its special architecture.

"This time I saw many changes for the better. We spent beautiful days," said Burhan Ahmeti.

French painter Jeef Roland said he hopes to return to Albania again.

"It's a wonderful colony. I'm very happy to be part of Korça, which is a city I admire. It's a city I could live in and the atmosphere is very good not only for artists but for anyone. There a solidarity and a kindness that is felt and this is something that inspires me a lot so I am happy that I was part of the colony and realized a work of mine. I hope to return to Albania and to Korça in particular. We never want to leave the child that we have inside of us to die, we want to keep it alive and stay true to the dreams and wishes we had when we were children because at that age we wanted something and knew exactly what we wanted from life, we were full of hope for the future and this is the message My painting can often look childish but this is a strategy that makes the viewer see through the eyes of a child.

"Participation in this exhibition was very high according to Blerta Belli, which shows that painters from 15 countries of the world took part, with 29 invited painters and 23 local painters. The goal remains the return of Korcca to the center of visual art," he added.

Dozens of Korcar artists and citizens became part of the exhibition, looking at the special works that were created in this 13th edition of the "Days of Mio" colony./ CNA
