Xhaferri: The Socialist government has stolen the remittances of those who left

Democratic MP Besart Xhaferri stated today that during the years of socialist rule, their economic program has stolen remittances from Albanian emigrants.

Through a post on social media, Xhaferri accuses that the savings of those the government forced to leave by trucks and boats have been stolen.

 "You also stole the remittances they sent to their parents from those you forced to leave with trucks and boats!"

I was a student in England when the great wave of Albanian exodus to Britain began, an exodus that emptied our homeland of its greatest asset, its youth.

So, in my first speech in Parliament, I stopped to talk about those young people who were forced to borrow money at interest to pay for the truck or the dinghy to England, while this dream has cost many of them their lives.

After you drove them out of this country, you were so bold that, after stealing their youth, you also began to steal their savings through your "amnesty" project, while through your economic program of laundering drug money in construction, you also stole the remittances they were sending to their parents.
