Invited to a television show, journalist Balton Haxhiu spoke about the arrest of the President of Liberty, Ilir Meta, which he considered an unprecedented act.

I have a problem with selective justice being worse than injustice. Even if he refused, the police have mechanisms to escort him, stop him and find him a place and not a public place because then it is humiliation and not an arrest, because we are not dealing with a criminal who has a revolver, we are not dealing with a gang who refuses, but we are dealing with a man who has been in politics for 30 years.

This selective justice is problematic. As a citizen of this country, I am ashamed that this police banditry is unjustifiable."
