On Wednesday, the Constitutional Court overturned the request of the Democratic Party for the annulment of the law for the administration of the Butrint National Park, leaving in force the agreement for the management of the Butrint National Park by the Albanian American Fund for Development.

The deputy of the Democratic Party, Ina Zhupa, said in a statement from the Assembly that the Constitutional Court did not protect the cultural heritage. 

She said that they will not give up, but they will take this issue to SPAK and they will also notify the internationals.  

"Butrinti is in danger, but we will not stand idly by. The next step is certainly the step of SPAK, the next step is to inform the international community about the situation. The Constitutional Court can never raise it to the right level. Butrinti is in danger from greed. No one has immunity when they violate the law and the constitution. The court did not protect the interests of Albanians, she said./CNA
