The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, mocked the opposition for the protests he is holding on "Mustafa Matohiti" street, below the house of former prime minister Sali Berisha.

During his speech at FRESSH's 32nd anniversary, Veliaj said that the opposition got in on the fun and now, according to him, it has ended in just one window.

He stated that the opposition has shrunk from a party that led Albania to a group of people.

"It is not a real issue who has the turn in the alley, but who is happy because our opponents are at this level, they made a big mistake. Our opponents suffered the curse that our forefathers say, "let yourself jump into the fun". You remember in 2013 they had the whole of Albania, in 2015 they had Tirana, in 2017 they had the boulevard. You remember the tents and other stories. Then they had the courtyard, now they have an alley, and from an alley they are turning to a window.
