The commanding head of the PD of vula, Enkelejd Alibeaj, has been abandoned by most of the candidates for mayor and municipal council.

Today, invited to "Euronews Albania", Alibeaj has accepted this fact, justifying that everyone's personal choices should be respected.

He said that the May 14 elections are a test for their attitudes held during this year and based on the result the party will undergo a restructuring process.

" This is a fact. I want to make one thing clear, what is the political line of the PD is that all those MPs, members of the Presidency, candidates, heads of branches, representatives of the Municipal Councils must have a clear and correct attitude towards the vote and the support of the Party Democratic.

This is a statutory rule of the DP. But if we want to be in a free society and respect individual freedom, everyone can choose their own path, making their own calculations of the costs and benefits of political stance.

What is important is what will happen to PD after these elections, to get the citizens' evaluation regarding the position we have maintained so far for a year and a half.

The Democratic Party will be tested and after May 14, PD is forced, due to the statute and the events, to enter into a process of resizing and reorganizing the culture that made politics," said Alibeaj./ CNA.al
