Meeting in Brussels/Rama: Nobody should accuse Kurt of treason, he did the right thing

Edi Rama spoke about yesterday's meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the Serbian President in Brussels.

He says that no one should accuse the prime minister of Kosovo of treason, adding that Kurti did the right thing.

"Peace and cooperation are the key to the future that we owe to our children in this region destroyed for centuries by the lack of peace and cooperation. I welcome the consent of both parties to the Agreement on the Normalization Path between Kosovo and Serbia.
This is an important milestone for regional peace and I strongly encourage all parties involved to continue working for a speedy implementation. For peace and cooperation, Albania is and will remain a believer and a model. We fully support any effort to overcome the past. I wish that no one accuses Albin Kurti of betrayal or forgetfulness, but that everyone understands that today's prime minister of Kosovo has done the right thing, taking a very important first step towards getting out of yesterday's trap.
