Two weeks ago, the US ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, held a meeting with the General Secretary of the SP, Damian Gjiknur.
The recaps of this meeting were brought to light this evening by the former head of the Red and Black Alliance, Kreshnik Spahiu.
The latter said that Kim asked Gjiknuri that there are no incriminated persons in the lists of the May 14 elections.
According to him, the American ambassador also influenced the call of socialist mayors to SPAK.
"The American diplomat in Tirana two weeks ago called Damian Gjiknur, number two of the Socialist Party, and told him that there should be no incriminated persons in the lists of the May 14 elections. I know some of the judicial police officers, prosecutors, lawyers of the National Bureau of Investigation and Special Prosecution, but I think that the influence of the American assistance is stronger than the influence of the socialists in some cases", declared Spahiu./ CNA
