Health system in Albania / Berisha: Painful departure of doctors from the country

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha held a roundtable discussion with doctors on Tuesday afternoon to talk about problems in the health system.

Berisha said that the two most painful developments in Albania are the departure of young people in emigration and the preparation of doctors for emigration.

"In this vital service to the state and its development, the mass departure of doctors is a real drama.

The doctors from this government have a contemptuous, maximum attitude. You are witnessing how much your salaries have changed in 9 years.

With the debt that this government owed from 62.6 percent of GDP when it took power to 107 today, your salaries could have quadrupled, nurses and so on.

This has not been the agenda of the government. The contempt for me is indelible scenes in the Trauma Hospital ", declared Berisha./ EK-CNA.al
