The trial for the former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, has been postponed again this Wednesday. The five experts who signed the expert report on the economic damage caused by the explosion were present at Wednesday's session.

They asked the judge for time to read their economic damage expert report, while they said that they are not licensed experts. On the other hand, Mediu repeated the request for a new act-expertise.

"Lady judge, there are two sides in front of you. Equality in this process is a legal right. I think this whole situation shows some kind of tendency to continue in absurdity. These gentlemen show themselves that they are not experts and that they have given an opinion to the institutions. This process is quite formal, without suspense, to get to the truth. We ask for a new expert report to be made to see if there was economic damage or not. This act-expertise needs a more in-depth analysis, because after 2008 there was dismantling. If we want a judicial process, which is not a one-sided debate of the prosecution, let's turn this into a judicial process and not hold these hearings just to pass the queue", said Mediu.

The session was adjourned to June 26 to give experts time to familiarize themselves with the act.
