During a joint statement with Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered messages of support for Ukraine.

From Kiev, the head of government indicated that he was initially reluctant to accept the invitation, but stressed that he felt privileged to be there.

Rama stated that together with Zelensky and Abazovic, they have agreed on the proposal to join efforts and to build a block each of its places building for families and children.

“Faleminderit për ftesën tuaj për të qenë këtu sot. Ndihem i privilegjuar së bashku me Dritanin. Si kryeministra të vendeve të NATO-s, nga vende e Ballkanit që gjendemi këtu me ju, dëshmojmë solidaritetin tonë të plotë me ju dhe popullin ukrainas. Unë personalisht hezitoja të vija sepse përmasat e këtij tmerri janë të skajshme dhe mundësia që ka Shqipëria për të ndryshuar fatin e kësaj lufte nuk është apak e mjaftueshme. Por në të njëjtën kohë nuk mund të mos i përgjigjesha ftesës tuaj. Jam mjaft mirënjohës për mikpritjen bujare dhe për dëshirën për të ndarë me ne një pjesë mjaft të vogël të realitetit që më parë e kemi parë përmes fotove.
