Rama tells the reason/ Why the vote of immigrants is not realized

Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke about the vote of immigrants in a meeting with members of the Albanian community in Luxembourg.

Asked by an Albanian, Rama said that the vote of immigrants is not possible because of the database.

He stated that despite calls for immigrants to declare the data, their collection has not been possible.

"The vote of immigrants is not a matter of desire or will on our part, that we want, but it is a matter of the database. We still do not have a register of the emigrating population today. Although we have made several attempts, we have not succeeded because as we Albanians are, even to get a passport or an identity card, we go that day, the moment we need to do something. This issue of the database prevents us from voting for immigrants", the head of the government emphasized./ CNA
