The democratic deputy, at the same time the president of the DP Women's Forum, Albana Vokshi, during the speech held at the International Democracy Union (IDU) meeting in Washington, made an overview of the political situation in Albania.

Vokshi said that fair and free elections are missing in Albania, which have not been organized since Edi Rama came to power in 2013.

She also published the Voice of America article, where it was said that 1 in 4 voters in Albania have changed their vote, due to pressure from the administration.

"The Voice of America, which is not an opposition, is the official government media in the USA, has published a study with shocking information: One in four voters has changed their vote due to the pressure of the public administration misused by the socialist majority.

Regarding organized crime: I have a map here. You will see here some of the criminal gangs in Albania, connected to the Prime Minister and the socialist majority. They help him win elections by forcing people to vote for the socialist majority.

The map clearly shows that the same criminal gangs are directing drug trafficking from Latin America to various European ports.

So, the majority strengthened these criminal gangs, used them for elections, and now they have become a danger not only for Albania, but for Europe, Latin America.

What we are asking for is support for free and fair elections. The Macedonian model of a caretaker government could be a good opportunity for us to have free and fair elections.

It's not a matter of names, it's beyond individuals, it's a matter for the sake of the Albanian people who want free and fair elections, in order to decide with a vote who will be the next government", said Vokshi, among other things. CNA
