Balluku inspects the works on the Great Ring of Tirana: Ready on the promised

In the entire length of the Great Ring of Tirana, work is being done with increased forces to make possible the opening for the traffic of vehicles of this work in the last days of this year.

The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku and the director of the Albanian Road Authority, Gentian Gjyli, were in Lot 4, where the laying of the first asphalt layers has started, as well as the installation of other elements that are part of the project. .

"A very good job has been done, despite the fact that the weather conditions have not helped us much in the last few days. We have had rain and the rain is very harmful when we put the asphalt layers. However, the work has progressed", said Balluku, referring to the high pace of the work with which it has been advanced during these weeks.

Lot 4 includes the construction of a viaduct with a length of 420 ml. A complex work which is now completely finished. In the same way, the electric lighting poles have also been installed.

"Small parts of the details may remain even after the opening of the Eastern Ring Road and its connection with the rest, but they must not be an obstacle for traffic and road safety conditions must be fully met, as well as signage. Of course we will continue with the inspections. ARRSH, the supervisors and the staff of the ministry will be at the site until the last days, as we have set a deadline, which we must admit has been challenging", said Balluku.

The director of ARRSH, Gentian Gjylsi, announced details about the progress of works in other lots of the Great Ring of Tirana.

"Currently, in lot 5, we have entered the program that we had foreseen since there we had complexities with the underground lines, such as water supply or OSHEEE lines, but all of them have been relocated. We have started the asphatic layers. It has been paved with the first layer of conglomerate almost half of the length, next week we expect it to be completed with the first layer of asphalt. In lot 6, the first asphalt layer has been completed, in the following days we will continue with the other two layers. We are on time, we have no problems", said Gjyli.
