Exclusive - Home checks, SPAK is breaking down the scheme

After a decision of the GJKKO, BKH officers have landed for checks in the apartments of Veliaj's family members. Initially, it was reported that Ajola was at home and did not open the door to BKH agents. Her phone has been confiscated, this is also accepted by the media of the mayor of Tirana, who is in Hamburg.  In fact, not only the phone was checked, but a detailed apartment check was also done.

CNA learns from official sources that alongside Ajola, the mayor's brother, Arbër Veliaj, was also checked. So everything around Erion Veliaj that is related to his brother's businesses and Ajola's activity.

Ajola is almost putting her husband in prison because of an object that has a value of 25,000 euros which she took for free from businessman Gentian Sula of NOA. The latter then won tenders worth hundreds of millions of euros from the Municipality of Tirana.

On the other hand, Arbër Veliaj, the mayor's brother, manages one of the biggest advertising companies in Albania and is Erion Veliaj's key to bringing money to the media and manages from big businesses and this is another way of buying and capturing of the press, but Arbër Veliaj is suspected by SPAK as part of the scheme of the mayor of Tirana for influence, affairs and others.

What happened is that the house was searched, Ajola's phone was searched, Arbër Veliaj, his house, the phones were taken and SPAK is moving forward in one of the main property investigations.

So, the institution is conducting an in-depth property investigation against the mayor of Tirana and all the current actions are a consequence of the facts that SPAK has found on the way to Veliaj.

It is now expected that there will be other actions and that the prosecutors will connect the whole scheme of how Erion Veliaj and the people around him worked./ CNA
