Adea Pirdeni, the Minister of State for Administration, said after the meeting of the Council of Ministers that the concept of flexible working hours has been established in the public administration. 

As for annual vacations, the minister emphasized that the Labor Code has removed the restriction according to which public administration employees could not take annual leave for less than one calendar week. 

She further clarified that the duration of the summer holidays is 22 working days, where 2 extra working days of rest have been added for all employees. 

"Today at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, we approved a decision that foresees the changes for the approval of the rules for the duration of work and rest hours, additional hours. Within this initiative, it is foreseen for the first time that the concept of flexible working hours will be launched It is expressly provided that the daily working time remains the same, public administration employees can choose to start the working day earlier and finish it earlier, or start it later and finish it later , the Labor Code has removed the restriction that public administration employees could not take an annual leave of less than one calendar week.
