SP takes a step back/ Removes Criminal Amnesty from the agenda

The Socialist Party has "withdrawn" from the Criminal Amnesty, after clashes with the opposition.

It is reported that Speaker of Parliament Lindita Nikolla removed the Criminal Amnesty bill from today's agenda in the plenary session.

This decision of Nikola comes after Lulzim Basha declared yesterday that he and his deputies will not merge the votes with the majority.

In a conference with journalists, Basha said that his deputies will not participate in the plenary session and will not vote on the draft law.

According to him, the Criminal Amnesty releases the corrupt officials arrested by order of SPAK.

On the other hand, the group of DP deputies, led by Gazment Bardhi, has declared that they will not vote on any draft law and will not allow the normal development of the sessions until their demands are met./ CNA
