Opposition protest/Mziu: Criminal behavior by the police, a plot to disrupt the

Democratic Party MP, Xhelal Mziu, said today that the socialist-led government is concerned every time the opposition protests and Albanian citizens react.

Invited to A2 CNN, Mziu linked the situation to the opposition protest and accused the State Police of criminal behavior and intent to disrupt the rally organization.

"It was a protest to be taken as an example, it was a reactionary protest. It was disproportionate to the criminal behavior of the police and the entire staging was done to disrupt the protest. It has never happened in any country in the world that, when the leader of the opposition, before he had finished speaking, was sprayed with pepper spray or tear gas. In fact, as you saw in the penultimate protest, there was also expired tear gas. I don't know what the latter was like because I didn't have the opportunity to see it. So, it is a government that is worried when there is a protest by the opposition, it is worried when Albanian citizens react", - said Mziu./ CNA
