The deputy of the Democratic Party, Agron Gjekmarkaj, spoke again this evening about the clash at the last protest of the Democratic Party.

Gjekmarkaj said that he did not provoke him to be violated by the police.

He stated in an interview with Nisida Tufa that the officers surrounded him despite introducing himself.

"I am not a person who seeks neither heroism nor victimization. I acted in self-defense. I am the political leader of Lezha District and I have the duty to lead the people. I suddenly found myself surrounded by 10 or 15 policemen, to whom even though I introduced myself, I couldn't succeed", he said.

The deputy said that the police began to push him with great force into the car where he was leaning.

"I told the police with a laugh, I'm not a person who goes to the gym, I'm not prepared for strong physical actions, but this said with a laugh was not worth it and the police increased the pressure, the strong pushes", emphasized Gjekmarkaj./ CNA
