The Democratic Party of Enkelejd Alibeaj has submitted a complaint to the AMA (Audiovisual Media Authority) and the CEC (Central Election Commission).

According to the statement, it is required to take measures to immediately prohibit the use of the name of the Democratic Party, its logo and symbols by electoral subjects that have nothing to do with the Democratic Party.

Democratic Party of Albania

The electoral headquarters of the candidate of the Democratic Party for the Municipality of Tirana, Mr. Roland Bejko, called on the Albanian institutions, the Central Election Commission, Amas and the media, to take measures and immediately stop the use of the name of the Democratic Party, its logo and symbols by electoral subjects which have no connection with the Democratic Party.

We demand from these institutions, the implementation of the rule of law and the decisions of the courts of the Republic of Albania. We call on every political entity not to use and misuse the name of the Democratic Party, in the media or electoral meetings, by people and leaders of different electoral formations.

The Democratic Party of Albania is represented in the race for the Municipality of Tirana with the only candidate, Mr. Roland Bejko, known and registered in these elections according to all laws in force and in accordance with the Albanian electoral code. We will take all legal measures to protect the identity of the Democratic Party, the identity of the Albanian right that it represents.

The Democratic Party has today submitted a "Complaint regarding the misinformation of some media entities" addressed to:

Ms. Armela Krasniqi, Chairperson of the Audiovisual Media Authority,

Ms. Desada Metaj, Vice President of Audiovisual Media,

Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi, State Commissioner of Elections.

Also, we call on the media and the institutions that monitor them, to implement the principle of television spaces according to the "par condicion" principle for the political entity the Democratic Party as the largest opposition party and all its candidates for the municipal councils and mayor.
