The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, held a meeting today with the head of ODIHR for the May 14 local elections, Audret Glover.

Meta, through a reaction on social networks, clarified the details of the meeting, where he emphasizes that they talked extensively about the realization of free elections.

The head of the PL has expressed his concern about the use of funds and public administration for the SP campaign.

"Today I received in a meeting the head of the ODIHR observer mission for the local elections of May 14, Ambassador Mrs. Audrey Glover.

We discussed at length the many concerns related to the realization of free and fair elections for the local government on May 14.

I shared with Mrs. Glover the concern about the lists of voters and the attitudes of the Ministry of the Interior and the CEC, which have created problems related to their deliberate change to create uncertainty among voters, violating the law and the 20-year consolidated practice for them.

I also shared with him the concern about the flagrant misuse of public financial funds, the use of public administration and state logistics infrastructure for the ruling party's campaign, violating the Electoral Code and any other law.

I underlined the one-sided attitude of the CEC, which with its decisions and attitudes is not contributing to the holding of elections with standards, but on the contrary is damaging the standards and creating unnecessary tensions and conflicts that have an impact on the pre- and post-election process.

I also pointed out the concern about the non-punishment of the illegal activities of the government and the failure to take into account many of the concerns raised by the civil society.

I also shared with Mrs. Glover also the problem of media capture by the government, which is contrary to the interest of the voters, who are very interested and want to know widely about the candidates and their programs in order to make the right choice on the day of the vote.

I expressed to Ambassador Glover the complete readiness of the opposition to contribute to a free, fair election process and to achieve the highest possible standards in the elections", he writes.
