The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Korça region, Ivi Kaso, spoke after the closing of the voting process for the primaries.

Kaso said that the voting process was calm and the counting of votes will be concentrated in the Korça branch. The DP political leader for Korça said that the participation in the voting was high.

 

" The voting process for the selection of candidates for MPs through the Primaries process in the entire Korça region has just been finally closed. A good part of the voting centers, i.e. certain branches, have also brought the ballot boxes of the voting centers. The relevant minutes are being drafted for only two branches and it is expected that the counting process will begin very soon, which is expected to be concentrated in the central branch of the region, i.e. the Korça branch, at the moment the last ballot box arrives. This is due to the calculation of the exact number of participants, which will also be determined based on the formula announced by the commission for the organization of electoral operations, which will also determine the threshold that will be the qualifying threshold for all candidates so that all candidates in the race have clarity about the threshold before the counting process begins. The process was generally smooth, there were minor problems that such a massive process could not have avoided.

Overall, it has been a calm process, what is noticeable is that there has been a high number of participants, democrats who have poured out massively to vote in all branches of the DP in the Korça region, which indicates a high interest and galvanization not only of the DP structures, but also of the emotion and enthusiasm for the victory that all democrats and the majority of Albanians expect from the DP and the united opposition in the May 11 elections. Of course, the high number of candidates has also taken its toll, as it is not only their quality and reputation in the DP structures and beyond, but also their activation throughout the Primaries process that has awakened a lot of hidden energy in the DP structures, which has also brought about this high number of participants , "said Kaso./ CNA
