"Don't take the microphone hostage"/ Peleshi criticizes Tabak: You are ignoring the procedures

The head of the group of socialists, Niko Peleshi, has criticized the chairperson of the Commission for European Affairs, Jorida Tabaku, for the political statements at the start of the meeting.

Pelesi addressed Tabak saying that it is not at all civil to take the microphone hostage and ignore the procedures on an important day where the process of Albania's integration into the EU would be discussed.

"Starting a meeting without declaring it open, without seeing if there is a quorum or not, without announcing what we are discussing, using this microphone to make statements, is very political, but it is not civic. This political statement, I would beg you civically, at least not here, not to take the microphone hostage and continue with political statements, ignoring what is expected of us today. This is a very important step towards Albania's EU membership. The procedure was completely violated", said Peleshi./ CNA
