On Wednesday, the Democratic Party submitted today to the Constitutional Court a lawsuit for overturning the agreement with Italy for immigrants.

In an appearance for the media, Lindita Metaliaj stated that this is an illegal agreement. "We submitted the lawsuit for this agreement, as we are protecting the interests of the citizens. It cannot decide the fate of our country in violation of human rights. We are grateful to the Italian people, but this has nothing to do with them. We will wait for the decision of the Constitutional Court and whether or not this agreement is compatible with the Constitution of Albania," said Metaliaj.

Meanwhile, today in the Security Commission there were tensions between the opposition and the majority. But just a few minutes after this meeting started, the deputies of the Democratic Party took pity on the hall and blocked its progress, where the draft law on immigrants was to be discussed./ CNA
