The campaign of the Ministry of Education and Sports, "Choose a Craft", has continued with students, parents and teachers in Kamëz.
The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, together with the Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, and the Mayor of Kamëz, Rakip Suli, participated in the activity organized in the reconstructed 9-year old school, "Prizren Connection" in Kamëz, for the promotion of professional education, with students, parents, teachers, business representatives, etc.
The minister has called on all students and parents to become aware of the orientation towards professional education, for a safe future for young people, to be integrated in the labor market.
"I want to encourage the youth of this school, just as I want to encourage the youth and parents of Kamza, the teachers as well, to use these instruments that we have to track the talents and tendencies of the students and to guide them towards vocational education. The benefits of vocational education are not only tangible, but today it is also becoming a great national need. To respond to the economic and social development of the country, to respond to the needs of the labor market, we we should be focused on making every young person aware of the importance of having a craft", said Minister Manastirliu.
Speaking about the transfers from gymnasiums to vocational schools, Minister Manastirliu informed that thanks to the established mechanisms and the intensive communication campaign with students in these two months, students with high results have also been transferred to vocational education.
"In 2 months, about 200 students from different schools of the country, from the 10th grades, have been transferred to professional education. It is not only those with modest achievements and results, but also those with high results, who are continuing professional education, with the desire to deepen their studies towards higher education, but also with the desire to have a profession from a young age", said Minister Manastirliu.
Until the end of December, 10th grade students who want to choose a trade can be transferred through e-Albania from gymnasium to vocational schools. At the "Prizren Connection" school in Kamëz, the "Choose a trade" campaign was welcomed by teachers, students and parents, for the orientation towards professional education, a MAS campaign, which will continue throughout the country./ CNA
