Political scientist Afrim Krasniqi today shared harsh criticism regarding the functioning of the parliamentary institution.

While speaking on "A2 CNN", Krasniqi said that it would do the Parliament much more honor to have a much more serious, institutional approach.

According to the political scientist, Parliament has lost control of itself and represents neither the average Albanian citizen nor the culture of society.

 "It would do the Parliament much more honor to have a much more serious and institutional approach. This is the first and only legislature so far that has a priori excluded the representation of the opposition in the special parliamentary commission, which also covers integration issues, and this is an indicator that there has been no political will for consensual decisions. MPs from the opposition are always excluded, and they are always silent. The Parliament has lost control of itself. This Parliament does not represent the average Albanian citizen, nor the culture of Albanian society, nor the mentality, needs, challenges", Krasniqi said. /CNA
