"We need a truce"/ Veliaj "softens" before the elections

Mayor Erjon Veliaj seems to have softened before the elections. 

During his speech at the dinner for the Christian believers, he said that he does not know if Ukraine will make a ceasefire, but there should be one in Albania.

In the form of a question, Veliaj addressed the guests saying "what if every day was a truce, with our opponents and rivals".

"I don't know if Ukraine will have a ceasefire, but we need one. We need a daily truce. What if we lived life as if it were a truce with our opponents and rivals, and I say this to myself out loud. We should think of every day as Christmas. I can't wait to help people this year", he said./ CNA.al
