The deputy of the Democratic Party, Belind Këlliçi claims that, just like in the time of communism, the real reality in which Albania is located is being alienated and is being propagated by the government.

Through a post on social networks where he appears next to media personalities at the ceremony of the 32nd anniversary of the creation of the newspaper "Rilindja Demokratike", he emphasized the lack of freedom of the press in Albania.

Gjendem sot krah personaliteteve me peshë historike në shtypin shqiptar, si Zj. Merita Shkupi, themeluese e Gazetës Tribuna në vitin 1991, Z. Skënder Shkupi, sekretar i Kolegjiumit të RD-së dhe deputet i Tiranës në legjislaturën 1992-96, Z. Orhan Sakiqi, themelues i PD-së dhe ish Kryetar i Këshillit Bashkiak të Tiranës në vitet 1996-2000 si dhe kryeredaktorit aktual të RD, mikut tim Bledi Kasmi.

RD-ja lindi në kohë të trazirash politike, kur shqiptarët mbaheshin larg botës së informacionit. Ishte e vështirë për gazetarët e RD-së të vendoseshin përballë organeve të shtypit propagandistik të kohës. Diktatura kishte frikë nga e vërteta, sepse ajo do t'i ndërgjegjësonte shqiptarët për mjerimin ekonomik dhe kulturor që jetonin. Edhe sot tentohet të fshihet realiteti, të tjetërsohet, të propagandohet një Shqipëri që askush nuk e sheh.

There is no press freedom in our country. The ruling party does not want Albanians to be compared to developed nations, as this government would not last long. Every newspaper, portal or screen in opposition to the government is an opportunity for more information for Albanians.
