Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama was part of the ceremony honoring the former Foreign Minister of Italy, Federica Mogherini, with the title "Doctor Honoris Causa", this title was granted by the University of Tirana.

The prime minister described Mogherini as a great friend of Albania. He stated that the awarding of this title by the University of Tirana is a meaningful gesture.

Among other things, Rama said that the former Italian minister is among the few representative personalities of the European world who have had to do with the region and Albania and who have done this task, more than as a duty.

"The university has made a meaningful and commendable gesture by giving Federica this title and including her in the ranks of those names that the rector cited and who are certainly very prominent personalities worldwide.
