The Court of Appeal has given the decision on the issue of the seal of the Democratic Party.

It is known that the stamp was given to the PD led by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

Thus, the Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of Judge Agron Zhukri.

This decision comes after nearly 3 years of clashes in the opposition camp. We remember that everything started with the declaration of Berisha "non grata" by the USA. After Lulzim Basha expelled him from PD on November 9, 2021, the historic leader of the Democrats made his move. On December 11, 2021, on the 31st anniversary of the founding of the party, he called the DP Assembly. Day on which the Reestablishment Commission was established. Basha responded with another Assembly, 7 days later.

From Lezha, his supporters demanded not only the removal of Lulzim Basha, but also statutory changes. Among which, the return of the referendum for the election of the Prime Minister.

The situation culminated with the protest of January 8, 2022, when the blue seat turned into a "conflict arena" between Democrats.

Later, in March 2022, Judge Agron Zhukri deemed the decision of the Assembly of Berisha to remove Basha as the leader of the largest opposition force in the country legitimate. The changes made to the statute were approved by the Court of Tirana.

On June 6 of last year, the race for the new leader of the Democrats was opened and the case ended again in the Court.
