Balluku inspects works on the Tirana-Durrës highway: Maybe we'll finish it before the deadline!

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, together with the director of the Albanian Road Authority, Gentian Gjyli, closely followed the works at the Tirana-Durres axis construction site.

Balluku stressed that everything is going well regarding the works and that the highway could be completed even before the scheduled deadline.  

"We have 6 kilometers, from the 'Casa Italia' overpass to the Kashari overpass, which are being expanded to turn this highway into a category A highway."

Our work at the moment consists of adding two lanes to each carriageway. We have a 3.75 meter lane on the other side and then we have emergency lanes of 3 meters each.

We hope that it will not only be delivered on time, but also ahead of schedule. Everything seems to be going well. We have no problems with traffic. I am sure that the drivers would be understanding, but in any case it has been managed very well by the ARA and the contractors." /CNA
