First parliamentary session for 2025/ Spiropali: Albania with the highest

Today, the first parliamentary session for 2025 began. In her speech, the Speaker of the Assembly spoke about the vote of the Diaspora, who are voting for the first time in the May 11 elections. Spiropali thanked all the deputies who made it possible for the Diaspora to vote this time.

"Today we begin the work of the eighth session, and at the same time the last session of the legislature of the Assembly of Albania. Tomorrow is January 21, the day of the establishment of Albanian parliamentarism."

The consolidation of independent, parliamentary and republican Albania began in Lushnja. The Congress approved the statute of Lushnja, a constitutional law and several other various laws. The Congress began the construction of the state administration. We invite you to express your gratitude to the Albanian men.

The Albanian Parliament's amendment of electoral legislation and the creation of the opportunity for Albanians in the diaspora to vote for the Assembly from host countries is an achievement for the legislature.

I thank all four parliamentary groups and all MPs for these changes to the electoral legislation. By implementing them, we responded to a natural need to consolidate democracy.
