Democratic MP Edi Paloka has spoken about the political situation in DP, stating that now is the time for protests.

He said that there will be no more protests like walking on the boulevard, but with a certain goal that the local elections have a final step and then the overthrow of the government.

"We have declared that September will be the ignition of the opposition's engines to start a battle aimed at overthrowing this government and creating the conditions for Albanians to vote freely. Protests are part of this strategy. July 7 was a test of strength for the opposition.

Now is the time for a protest as things are getting darker and darker. Protests are part of the strategy we have. The protests will also be symbolic, like the one at the Tirana Incinerator. The big protests will no longer be walks on the boulevard. There will be another scenario. There will be no homecoming without something accomplished. To achieve a specific goal. Our first target is the local elections. We intend to win the local elections and every part of our strategy will be in function of this objective",  he declared./ CNA.al
