Alliance for the defense of Butrint/ "Government, like an invading army on the forts"

Activist Aulon Kalaja reacted again today regarding the concession issue of Butrint park.

In a statement to the media, Kalaja said that the alliance was established in defense of Butrint Park and the cultural heritage of the country as a whole.

"We have big questions about how it is possible that the lawyer of the incinerators is behind the Butrint affair, just as we have big questions why after Butrint, Durrës, Driloni, Palati i Brigadeva, Apolloni, Finiqi and every Albanian fortress are falling?! This government has become like an invading army that is taking Albanian fortresses one by one!" he emphasized.

Po ashtu, Kalaja shpjegoi kuptimin e asaj pankarte dhe të atij mesazhi, me të cilin ata i janë drejtuar sot Fondacionit që synon të marrë Butrintin nën menaxhim.

"Jemi sot përpara zyrave të Fondit Shqiptaro-Amerikan të Zhvillimit me një mesazh shumë të thjeshtë: Larg duart nga Butrinti! - tha ai. - Është një mesazh që buron nga shpirti i liri amerikan, nga protestat pacifiste kundër luftës në Vietnam “Larg duart nga Vietnami”.

Kemi përdorur pikërisht këtë fjali për t’i bërë thirrje, Fondacionit Shqiptaro-Amerikan të Zhvillimti që t’i mbajë duart nga larg nga Butrinti.

Ne sigurisht kemi objeksionet tona; dje nuk na lejuan në Komisionin e Ekonomisë, as të dëgjoheshim, as të thoshim fjalën tonë, por na mbajtën nëpër korridore dhe na përzunë.

Yes, we are in this battle today here with a clear message, just as we have big question marks about how it is possible that the incinerators' lawyer is behind the Butrint affair, just as we have big question marks why after Butrint, Durrës is falling , Driloni, Palace of Brigades, Apolloni, Finiqi and every Albanian fortress. This government has become like an invading army that is taking Albanian fortresses one by one!"
