Former Nickelodeon star Janet McCurdy recently published her book, I'm Glad My Mother Died. In an interview, she explained the reasons why she chose this title for her book. 

For the first time she has confessed about the abuse her biological mother did to her when she was a teenager. 

McCurdy revealed that she had a toxic relationship with her mother and the writer even read an e-mail her mother had sent her when she was still a teenager.
