Lively-Baldoni legal battle / Taylor Swift also involved

The legal battle between actress Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni has taken a new turn, as newly discovered documents show that Taylor Swift was one of the people with whom Lively shared her concerns during the filming of the film "It Ends With Us."

According to court documents obtained by CNN, Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a scheme to damage her reputation. Private messages show that she discussed the situation with Swift, who compared the conflict to "a horror movie taking place in silence."

Lively's lawyers claim that her concerns were documented as far back as 2023 and that Baldoni's company, Wayfarer Studios, refused to investigate them. Baldoni's legal representatives, on the other hand, deny the allegations and say the evidence does not support the claims.

The case came to light after a New York Times article, against which Baldoni filed a defamation lawsuit. He later sued Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds for $400 million, but the lawsuits were dismissed by the court in June 2025.

The trial between Lively and Baldoni is expected to take place in May 2026. The documents also show that other actors in the film, including Jenny Slate, have expressed dissatisfaction with the climate during filming./ CNA
