Rally Albania "goes" to Korça/ Competitors show the emotions of the race

Even this year, Korça has been selected by the organizers of Rally Albania, as one of the destinations with wonderful terrains for the competitors.

About 300 enthusiasts of this extreme sport as well as professional racers, from all countries of the world, have joined the race with a lot of adrenaline for 4 days already.

The race started from the capital, then continued in Qeparo, while today they arrived in Korça where they will race the next day along the paths.

Racers with motorcycles and mountain terrain cars have set up stands near the square at the Children's City, to relax and enjoy the city today, while the next adventure is reserved for them tomorrow.

"The passion is as old as the race itself, but in the meantime we could not follow it in 2005 when the team was created. This year is the 20th year of Rally Albania, the routes that the organizers have chosen are not over. year is more difficult and there are surprises. This year started with surprises with the extreme routes they had selected and necessarily only half of them managed to finish it. Among them we were still continuing to close the race and the opportunity to to be on the podium. Korça has always been a destination chosen by the organizers because it has a lot of terrain, there is a mountain, a field, so a variety of terrains."

These days have been tiring, beautiful, unforgettable. We are doing 20 years that we have been involved in this sport, sometimes we have been part of the support staff of the team, sometimes the competitors. The results have been good, acceptable, unmotivating, all together."

Mario Nikolli has been part of this extreme sport for 7 years. Mario is known by the majority of football fans due to his involvement in the Skenderbe team, a few years ago, while he has joined the fans of Rally Albania in recent years. In this 20th anniversary of the organization of this international competition, it seems that the competition is very strong among the contestants, but the expectations are high regarding this team as one of the cars is a contender to capture the first 3.

"Passion is a gift or fine from Naçut Racing, we have been part of the team for many years, practically 6 or 7 years. It really gives a lot of emotions, a lot of adrenaline, it is passion. It started in Tirana, then 2 days in Qeparo, today we came in Korça and of course the race is very strong. It is the 20th anniversary of the race, there is a lot of competition, we are currently 7 cars in the race and with one of them we are contenders for the first three places and we hope to fight hard until the end to reach why not the first place. Korça is known, there is no need to choose it, I personally feel at home since I was also part of football, but we will finish this special, and then we will see the whole city."

There are many contestants from 25 different countries of the world, who participate for the umpteenth time in this magnificent organization.

Alberto Garlini comes from Italy with a very interesting story of his journey in this sport. Since the age of 14, he has been in love with motorcycles and is now unstoppable in extreme sports. Alberto has traveled all over the world, crossed 40 deserts, traveled 16,000 kilometers to South America, but he emphasizes the fact that he does not exchange Albania for any country in the world. For him, Albania is the right place to develop this sport.

"I am from the center of Italy, Fiorentina. For the first time I came to Albania in 1993, then I started Rally in 2007 and I have participated in competitions. I have liked motorcycles since childhood, I became a motorcyclist at the age of 14 , 16 years old I got my license and I didn't stop. In fact, I'm not only a racing pilot, but also a traveler. We crossed 40 deserts, last year I was in South America, 16 thousand kilometers. . I'm crazy about traveling by motorbike. Albania is fantastic, I like the people very much and I've never had any problems with Albanians. This country is always fantastic for our sport."

Another competitor from Italy is 49-year-old Christian Pastori, who has embraced this sport since he was 18 years old. 4 times champion of the Rally in Albania, and again a competitor in this 20th edition. Christian tells Cna TV that in Albania he has found hospitable people, magical places, comparing this country to paradise.

"I am from Milan, Italy. I started this sport at the age of 18, now I am 49. I have participated in 10 editions of the Rally in Albania. This is the 11th time I come here. I have won the Rally in Albania 4 times, I have also won 2 times with Rally Tirana. This is the most beautiful race I have done and again a record. I have met many friends here over the years, I often meet them. Albanians have a big heart and for me they are very hospitable. Albania is very beautiful, there are magical places. In Italy we have less and less places to race, here, on the contrary, is paradise, with respect to the car and the people."

For Swede Stewe Wilhelmsson, he is participating in this international competition for the fifth time. He continues to return to Albania, while saying that everything in this country is very beautiful, with many mountains and paths.

"I'm from Sweden and I just love Albania and what it offers for Rally. It's my fifth time here, maybe even more because I keep coming back to Albania. Everything is so beautiful, there are many mountains and many trails, really nice. This tour started from Tirana and will end there. Today we will go to the hotel to rest a little and tomorrow we will continue with the race."

"Rally Albania" is the biggest international race that comes with its 20th edition and brings together 300 competitors from all over the world. The atmosphere that has been created today near the Children's Village in Korça is impressive. All the contestants together are enjoying the coolness that the city has this evening, getting away from the high temperatures of the south and also away from the fatigue. The next day, all competitors will describe paths around Korca, its mountains, the fantastic terrain it offers. All the participants have Albania as their favorite country, the country that best suits the extreme sports of cars and mountain bikes.
