Parting from the life of the poet Korçar/ Besnik Mustafaj: Rest in peace,

Former minister Besnik Mustafaj remembered one of the most beautiful moments with the poet Skënder Rusi, who passed away today at the age of 72.

Mustafaj has published a photo, which was taken by the poet's granddaughter at the end of the "Poetry Nights" festival, where she shows that on that night she was awarded the great prize, the Crown of Poetry, which she dedicated to the poet.

Mustafaj expresses his sadness at the death of the great poet who left a legacy behind.

"Skënder Rusi is gone. This photo was taken on Sunday evening, May 26, 2024, in Korça, at the end of the "Korçë Nights of Poetry" festival.

We were photographed by Skender's granddaughter, a beautiful weasel, who surrounded her grandfather with all his love.

I dedicated the great prize "Crown of Poetry" to Skender Rus, not only as a sign of a beautiful friendship that has connected us for almost half a century, but also in the name of the high appreciation I have for his work poetic as well as an expression of gratitude to him as the founder and leader of the festival that was honoring me.

The poetry-loving Korça audience applauded my speech, showing me that in fact Skender Rusi had conquered his heart.
