Gambling establishment discovered in Tirana/ Equipment seized, 2 arrested

A bar on "5 Maji" street was discovered, which was set up for illegal gambling. 3 computer devices and 2 mobile phones used for this activity were seized.

The owner and employee of the bar are arrested.

In continuation of the work to identify and crack down on illegal activity in the field of gambling, the services of Police Commissariat No. 2, in cooperation with the Traffic Police services and Police Commissariat No. 4, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Game over 2".

During the operation, on “5 Maji” Street, a premises that had been adapted for illegal gambling was discovered. 3 computer devices and 2 mobile phones used for this activity, as well as amounts of money suspected to have been obtained from it, were found in the premises.

At the conclusion of the investigative actions in the case, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Organizing illegal lotteries" and "Making premises available for illegal games: OB, 31 years old, owner of the premises, and UD, 51 years old, employee of the premises.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
