The killing of one prisoner and the wounding of another by the convict Sokol Mjaca in Peqin prison has "awakened" the authorities.

It is learned that this evening they started detailed checks in all prisons in Albania.

In Drenova prison CNA learns that almost 3 vans from the General Directorate of Prisons have gone.

Checks are being carried out to find out if any inmates are in possession of weapons or illegal items.

We remember that Sokol Mjaca killed Arben Lleshi and injured Indrit Shaqjan with a gun. It is suspected that the gun came to him by drone while he was out for airing.
