The four employees of the police station in Velipoja, who were put in handcuffs about a month ago, on the charge of favoring the cultivation of cannabis, have been released today by the Court of Appeal.

The Shkodër District Court had imposed the "house arrest" measure, while today the Appeal has ruled as illegal arrest for the four police officers.

It is about n/commissioner Zamir Sytari, 40 years old, with the duty of Chief of the Velipoja Police Station; N/Commissioner Arben Hoxha, 45 years old, with the duty of Specialist for the Investigation of Crimes at the Velipoja Police Station; Inspector Ergys Lohja, 34 years old, with the duty of Assistant Community Policing Specialist, at the Velipoja Police Station; Inspector Hysni Beqiri, 53 years old, with the duty of Assistant Community Policing Specialist, at the Velipoja Police Station.
