Trafficking stolen luxury vehicles in Italy/ 1 person arrested, the other under investigation

Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking of the Tirana Police Department, in cooperation with the Rinas Police Commissariat, based on information that two citizens were involved in the criminal activity of vehicle trafficking, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Luxury Cars".  

As part of the operation, Italian citizen DS, 37 years old, residing in Italy, was arrested, and proceedings were initiated against citizen FS, residing in Italy.

The investigations revealed that these two citizens, in collaboration with each other, trafficked stolen vehicles into Albania, mainly in Italy.      

As material evidence, 2 vehicles, type "Audi Q3" and "BMW X6", manufactured in recent years, worth approximately 150,000 euros, were seized.     

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to uncover other cases of vehicle trafficking that these citizens may have committed./ CNA
