Drug trafficking from the USA by mail/ Young man in handcuffs in Tirana

The police have hit a case of trafficking of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa, from the USA to Albania, using the postal service.

The police were able to arrest IS, 27 years old, a resident of Tirana. Efforts are also being made to capture the FL citizen, 21 years old.

It is finalized after a genuine investigative work, the coded police operation "Atlanta".

The operation was carried out by the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Directorate of Customs Investigation in the General Directorate of Customs, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana.

A case of trafficking of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa, from the USA, to our country, using the postal service, has been reported.

1 citizen is arrested, 1 other is declared wanted.

1 kg and 600 grams of cannabis sativa, with a high percentage of THC, were seized.

Narcotics Investigation Specialists, in cooperation with the Directorate of Customs Investigation in the General Directorate of Customs, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, after several months of investigative work, have finalized the police operation coded "Atlanta".

As a result, a case of narcotics trafficking from the USA to Albania, through the postal service, was discovered. For this case, IS citizen, 27 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested. Efforts are also being made to capture the FL citizen, 21 years old.

These citizens trafficked narcotics with a high percentage of THC from the USA to Albania through the postal service.

As material evidence, 1 kg and 600 grams of cannabis sativa, with a high percentage of THC, were seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions./CNA
