The court of Lezha has left in prison the Portuguese Ruben Saraiva, who is accused of murdering the businessman Ardian Nikulaj, an event that happened in Shengjin.

Saraiva appeared today before the Court of Lezha, under strict security measures, as she requested a change in the security measure.

In today's session, the Portuguese's lawyer emphasized that the only evidence against Ruben Saraiva is the testimony of a woman who, according to him, was taken under psychological pressure.

"The only evidence is the testimony of a woman who was taken under psychological pressure, the engine found is not related to the Portuguese and there is no concrete evidence, even though almost a year has passed since the event", the Portuguese's lawyer said, among other things Ruben Saraiva.

We recall that the murder of Ardian Nikulaj took place in April 2023. Nikulaj was in his bar where the hired killer entered the bar and emptied his pistol.

Arrested in Great Britain for this event are Edmond Haxhia, Stephen Hunt, Thomas Mithan, Harriet Bridgeman and Harry Simson, for whom there is still no extradition decision in Albania./  CNA
