The Border Police in Kakavija seized 47,150 euros, 800 US dollars, 90 pounds, 50 Canadian dollars and 210 Swiss francs.

Under investigation is the 45-year-old with the initials EK who possessed the money and did not declare it, leaving the Albanian territory. 

Police Notification:

47,150 euros, 800 US dollars, 90 pounds, 50 Canadian dollars and 210 Swiss francs are seized.

The 45-year-old who possessed the money and did not declare it, at the exit of RSh, is being prosecuted.

As a result of the maximum commitment of the border police services of PKK Kakavije, for the prevention and attack of border crimes, in addition to the work to provide a quality and ethical service to citizens entering/exiting, another case of non-declaration of money has been hit.

At the exit of the country, the citizen of EK was checked in the second line, in whose bag were found 47,150 euros, 800 American dollars, 90 pounds, 50 Canadian dollars and 210 Swiss francs, undeclared in accordance with the law in force.

Following the procedural actions for this case, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Local Border and Migration Directorate Gjirokastër referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state for the citizen EK, 45 years old, resident in Tirana.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions./ CNA
